Where can we find the donation link? Will it include the option to select a different 501(c)(3) organization?
Donation links are found under Donate tab. The one-time online deduction form and Payroll deduction form are located on that page.
Is there a way for us to track donations internally throughout the campaign, or will that information only be available at the end?
United Way will share a weekly and end of campaign report. Agency Campaign Coordinators will track all cash donations and paper pledge forms.
How does the payroll deduction link function? Does it send information directly to United Way, and will they notify us when an employee sets up a deduction so we can enter it correctly in Luma?
United Way will share a report weekly for State Leadership Team to provide to agencies and ensure that information is updated in Luma.
With payroll deductions, are donations limited to United Way, or can employees choose another 501(c)(3) organization?
Employees can designate on all pledge forms how they want their funds to be shared and write in a 501(c)(3) organization of their choice.
If an employee separates from state employment?
Automatic deductions will stop, and employee will no longer contribute to their pledge donations once they receive their final paycheck.
If someone transfers to a different agency, is any action required? No, unless you transfer to a University, then it will stop. If the employee leaves the University within that year and returns to other State agencies it will continue.
If an employee goes to a Health District it will continue.
If you transfer, just check with your local HR person.
If I pledge in October 2025 for a Payroll Deductions, when will I see this go into effect as an employee:
Effective date of December 7, 2025, which employees will see starting on their January 2, 2026, paychecks.
If the 501(c)(3) organization is outside of Idaho and is a National Non-Profit, can you still donate?
Yes, on the pledge form you would just need to include their EIN number and mailing address.
